The Amadeus Austrian Music Awards is the annual awards ceremony for excellence in the Austrian music industry. It has been awarded to the most successful Austrian musicians since 2000, and is the Austrian equivalent to the Grammys.
Conchita Wurst was nominated in three categories in 2016 and, like in the previous year, won the award “Artist of the Year (female)”. She also performed her song “Firestorm” during the gala broadcast live on Austrian television.
