Amadeus Awards 2015
The Amadeus Austrian Music Awards is the annual awards ceremony for excellence in the Austrian music industry. It has been awarded to the most successful Austrian musicians since 2000, and is the Austrian equivalent to the Grammys.
Conchita Wurst was a guest in the audience in previous years, but was nominated for the award for the first time in 2015: as best (female) artist of the year, for “Rise Like A Phoenix” as song of the year and for “Heroes” as music video of the year. She won in all three categories and also performed her song “You Are Unstoppable” during the gala broadcast live on Austrian television.
