Amadeus Awards 2021

The Amadeus Austrian Music Awards is the annual awards ceremony for excellence in the Austrian music industry. It has been awarded to the most successful Austrian musicians since 2000, and is the Austrian equivalent to the Grammys.

The 21st presentation of the awards was broadcast on ORF on 9 September 2021. The nominations were announced on 15 April 2021 by Conchita Wurst via stream.

After hardly any live performances had been possible since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there were no nominations in the 'Live Act of the Year' category. This award went to all acts nominated this year as a “Thank you for all those who persevered during the pandemic and as motivation to continue creatively”.

Tom Neuwirth, already twice 'Artist of the Year' (2015 & 2016) with his Alter ego Conchita Wurst, hosted the award show for the fourth time.
