ARISE Grand Show

The Friedrichstadt-Palast, also shortened to ‘Palast Berlin’, is a revue in Berlin. The term Friedrichstadt-Palast designates both the building itself, and the revue theater as a body with his ensemble.

The Friedrichstadt-Palast‘s large hall is regularly used as a performing space, and has a seating capacity 1,895. Its stage floor of 2,854 square meters is the largest in the world. The venue specializes in complex shows that use advanced lighting and stage technology, over a hundred performers, and stylized acrobatic numbers.

Arise – Liebe ist stärker als die Zeit [Engl.: Love is stronger than time] was a revue. Its story revolved around photographer Cameron, who lost his muse and with her, inspiration, until time came to bring the old photos back to life with the help of light. The ARISE Grand Show was the first new production of this magnitude worldwide to celebrate a world premiere since the beginning of the pandemic.

Together with music producer Albin Janoska, Tom Neuwirth wrote two songs for the show: "Red Lights" and "Bodymorphia". In July 2021, Tom travelled to Berlin for rehearsals and media promotions. The show had its world premiere on 22 September 2021. Conchita Wurst was invited to the premiere and red carpet event. Two days later, Conchita's own version of "Bodymorphia" was released as a single.
