Fête de la musique 2015
The Fête de la Musique, also known in English as Music Day, Make Music Day, or World Music Day, is an annual music celebration that takes place on 21 June. The first all-day musical celebration on the day of the summer solstice was originated in France in 1982, and it is still a huge annual occasion.
In 2015, state broadcaster France 2 organised a huge concert in Nice with over 30 singers and musical acts. It was a huge success with an average of 2.8 million viewers tuning in and around 180,000 people gathered at Nice's Quai des Etats-Unis for a gigantic show. Conchita Wurst was one of the very few international stars of the show.
