Night Grooves

At a special place, the “Haus Schminke” in Löbau (Germany), Kim Fisher and Wigald Boning welcome musical guests to a ‘private concert‘. The audience experiences international music stars up close and unplugged.

The “Haus Schminke” was designed in 1933 by Hans Scharoun, an important representative of “organic architecture”. Every year the house attracts architecture enthusiasts from all over the world to Löbau in Upper Lusatia to see the unique building.

In the first broadcast of this series, US star Anastacia and Song Contest winner Conchita Wurst meet. Together the two singers interpret Cher’s “Believe” in their own unique way. The house band “The Ruffcats” accompanies them and, like all guests, plays exclusively live and unplugged.

The show was taped on 20 September 2017 and produced by DW-TV and MDR; it was broadcast on 3 November 2017 in both a German (‘Privatkonzert‘) and an English version (‘Night Grooves’) on DW-TV.

On 25 November 2017, a slightly longer German version was broadcast on MDR.
