Rainbow Cruise 2017
In 2017, the German cruise line TUI Cruises offered the first cruise for the LGBT community in German-speaking countries. The cruise on the ‘Mein Schiff 2‘ took place from 29 April to 7 May 2017 and ran on the route Palma de Mallorca – Barcelona – La Seyne (Toulon) – Ajaccio – Civitaveccia (Rome) – Salerno – Valetta.
In March 2016, Conchita Wurst was announced as the special guest of the Rainbow Cruise. She joined the cruise in France and gave an acoustic concert on board on the evening of 2 May 2017, followed by a meet & greet for the fans. Later that evening, she also gave a surprise performance on deck.
