THE ONE Grand Show

The Friedrichstadt-Palast, also shortened to ‘Palast Berlin’, is a revue in Berlin. The term Friedrichstadt-Palast designates both the building itself, and the revue theater as a body with his ensemble.

The Friedrichstadt-Palast‘s large hall is regularly used as a performing space, and has a seating capacity 1,895. Its stage floor of 2,854 square meters is the largest in the world. The venue specializes in complex shows that use advanced lighting and stage technology, over a hundred performers, and stylized acrobatic numbers.

THE ONE Grand Show was a revue, its story was about a guest at a party taking place in an old theater. At the party, the guest loses himself in the history of the old theater and goes in search of “The One”. With a production budget of eleven million euros, THE ONE Grand Show was the most expensive production outside of Las Vegas. For the first time, the Friedrichstadt-Palast worked together with fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier.

The show had its world premiere on 6 October 2016. Conchita Wurst was invited to the premiere and red carpet event. Later that evening she showed up at the Bassy Club and performed a few songs there.
