WorldPride Madrid 2017
WorldPride is an event that promotes lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer issues on an international level through parades, festivals and other cultural activities. WorldPride celebrations tend to be the largest LGBTQ Pride events for their year.
WorldPride Madrid coincided in time with the 24th Europride, which was hosted for the second time in the Spanish capital. It took place from 23 June to 2 July 2017. The event’s slogan was “Whoever you love, Madrid loves you!”
Conchita Wurst was invited to perform at the closing ceremony on 2 July 2017 at Puerta de Alcalá. The show was broadcast live on regional television in Madrid.
During the rehearsals, a conversation between Conchita and Rosa López was filmed, which was shown in the final episode of the reality television series ‘Soy Rosa‘.
